Ocean View Weddings

Tintswalo Atlantic

A truly unique wedding venue located at the foot of Table Mountain National Park, off Chapman’s Peak Drive. Tintswalo is a 5-star boutique lodge and is the only lodge located on the water’s edge of the Atlantic Ocean.

Venue Specs:

  • 10 x ocean-facing luxury island suites and one presidential suite, perfect for the bridal party to get ready on the morning of the wedding.
  • They can accommodate a sit-down wedding of up to 100 guests (in Summer).
  • There are a couple of options of where your ceremony and pre-dinner drinks can take place – there is the Lookout Point with an elevated view of the lodge and the ocean, or the pool with the pebbled beach and the ocean as your backdrop. Your reception would then take place at the restaurant, a short walk away from the pool, with the most exquisite view of the ocean.

Why we love it:

This location and its views are unparalleled! Situated at the very edge of the ocean, the panoramic scene takes your breath away. Exquisite finishes impart the feeling of luxury, while the ambiance encourages instant relaxation. The perfect location for ocean lovers.

Micro Weddings

Maison Noir

Maison Noir is a gorgeous villa located in Hout Bay nestled in the valley. It’s the perfect location for an intimate, destination wedding, with close proximity to Llandudno beach, Camps Bay and Hout Bay.

Venue Specs:

  • The villa offers 5 luxury bedrooms - comprising two expansive master suites and three luxurious guest suites.
  • There is an option to host up to 120 pax using the lawn areas, but if you’re looking for an intimate wedding, we suggest 40 – 50 pax.

Why we love it:

The surrounding mountains and lush vegetation encapsulate this venue, contributing to the exclusive feel. The incredibly soothing and relaxing Balinese-inspired interior design is divine. Although this is a villa and not a ‘venue’, the luxurious, high-end design is incredibly inviting, making the perfect backdrop to an intimate occasion.

Opulent Country Wedding

Grand Dedale

There is something incredibly regal about this venue which is juxta-positioned with the countryside setting of Wellington. It’s a haven for any wedding photographer, with 300 plus hectares of mountains, vineyards, riverbeds, fruit orchards and fynbos surrounding the Manor House.

Venue Specs:

  • There are 6 beautifully appointed bedrooms in the main house and a free-standing cottage, perfect for bridal party preparations.
  • They can accommodate a wedding of a maximum of 120 guests.

Why we love it:

This beautifully balanced luxury farm-style venue with its rolling green lawns surrounded by picturesque mountains makes this venue one for the books. We just love the homely feel that is perfectly contrasted with the pristine white finishes. If you are looking for the professionalism of a venue but with a homely touch, this is the venue for you!

Outdoor Wedding

Nooitgedacht

With the gorgeous tree-lined avenue for ceremonies or your reception, expansive green lawns with perfectly manicured garden beds perfect for a relaxed pre-dinner drinks or a marquee reception, and the stunning photo opportunities throughout the estate, there’s a lot to love about this venue!

  • The venue can host up to 300 guests, but a small wedding of 80 works perfectly too.

Why we love it:

This is a firm favourite venue! Every wedding held at this venue is unique. There are a variety of areas that you can choose from for different parts of your wedding, including an indoor option should there be any bad weather. If you are dreaming of an outdoor wedding, this location is pure magic at night. Its appearance is versatile, allowing for both a high-end, opulent wedding or a minimalist, organic style.

De Meye

De Meye is a family-owned boutique wine estate in Stellenbosch with true authenticity and a focus on sustainable wine production. They believe ‘that elegance lies in simplicity, and beauty in realness’ which couldn’t be a more accurate description of the farm.

Venue Specs:

  • An old dairy shed has been converted into their function venue which gives you the option of an indoor reception should the weather turn
  • The farm can host up to 130 guests.
  • There isn’t any accommodation on the estate, however there are a variety of places in and around the area.

Why we love it:

This salt-of-the-earth location hosts the most wonderful atmosphere. The open lawn enveloped by vineyards and canopied by trees lends itself to a magical ceremony, pre-drinks or even an outdoor reception (there are additional fees for use of the lawns). We just love the idea of a farm-to-table, gourmet feast concept surrounded by its entrancing surroundings.

Whimsical Wedding

Natte Valleij

Bought in 1969 by the Milner Family, this charming venue is a family-run estate filled with history. With beautiful gardens and a historic wine cellar, this venue has so much to offer.

Venue Specs:

  • There is accommodation on the farm which sleeps up to 10 guests. They also have the recently built Simonsberg Silo’s.
  • They can cater for between 50 and 80 guests.
  • You can make use of the gardens or the cellar for your reception, dependent on the weather and the style of the wedding you are after.

Why we love it:

This venue is rustic and down-to-earth so it’s perfect for the unassuming couple who aren’t looking for fuss. The gardens at Natte Valleij are wild and whimsical creating an extraordinary backdrop for photographs. You can opt for an indoor reception in the barn or an outdoor feast in the garden. Natte Valleij has a beautiful historic manor house for those that love the Cape Dutch architecture.

Forest/Mystical Wedding

Die Woud

A true gem located in Caledon in the Overberg, Die Woud is a place dreams are made of. A harmonious setting amongst Oak trees. Imagine the sound of nature, a flowing stream and the rustling of Wattle trees overhead.

Venue Specs:

  • There is no accommodation on-site but there is a variety of nearby accommodation.
  • Die Woud can accommodate 140 guests.

Why we love it:

This is a one of a kind setting! Much like a fairytale, the glass marquee set amongst the forest is a setting dreams are made of. The venue is merely a shell for you to let your imagination go wild.

City Wedding

The Stack

The Stack is perfect for the couple that wants to make a statement and do things a little differently! With a gorgeous outside area and amazing interiors, this venue is a feast for the eyes.

  • The Members Club can accommodate up to 100 guests cocktail-style, the Brasserie 60 guests seated and the terrace can host up to 50 guests.
  • There is no accommodation on site but there are loads of incredible options in the city including the good ol’ Mount Nelson just down the road on Kloof Street.

Why we love it:

The cerise pink barstools set up against the turquoise bar, the members lounge covered in animal print carpeting with sunshine yellow, emerald green, royal blue, and cerise pink tub chairs, it’s pure glam with incredible cosiness!

Architectural Delight

Bosjes

Located in Ceres, a mere hour and a bit outside of Cape Town, Bosjes offers the perfect ‘destination’ wedding from the city center without having to travel too far. With mountain ranges surrounding the farm and the Breede River running through the valley, it’s an incomparable setting.

Venue Specs:

  • The accommodation is made up of five gorgeous suites with contemporary finishes.
  • The chapel seats 100 guests, and the restaurant 80 guests with 20 on the patio. There is an option to set up a marquee or spread out onto the lawn for an Al Fresco setting.

Why we love it:

Two words: The Chapel! If you are looking for a WOW factor that is on another level then this is the venue for you. An architectural masterpiece of a roof towers above the dramatic pathway, surrounded by water, leading into the chapel, while the glass panels inside reveal the spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. We love that guests can walk from the ceremony to pre-drinks (in the tea garden) and then up to the restaurant area for the reception. It’s a wedding planner’s dream to have these reveals as the evening unfolds.

Foodies Paradise

Waterkloof

Chef Gregory Czarnecki has received multiple accolades for his culinary skills, so if you coin yourself a foodie this venue is a must! The location is incredible and will have your guests whispering ‘wow’ the whole drive up to the venue.

Venue Specs:

  • The venue can host up to 120 guests.
  • Depending on your number of guests, you can either have your ceremony in the glass box looking out at the vineyards, or down below in the cellar.
  • The venue provides a lot within the venue fee and because of the beautiful interiors and the expansive views, you really don’t need a lot of floral and décor.
  • There is no accommodation on the estate, but the venue has a long list of available accommodation nearby.

Why we love it:

The magnificent architecture will leave you (and your guests) breathless, along with the incredible views of the extensive vineyards and  False Bay in the distance. Waterkloof will, without a doubt, leave a lasting impression on your guests.
