How to stay in contact with your clients during social distancing.
COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on our 2020 plans. It’s therefore no surprise that many of us want to put our lives on hold until we get some level of certainty and normalcy back. The reality, however, is that we could be waiting a very long time. There's no crystal ball to see what the future holds and with many parts of the world seeing a second wave of infections, it’s time to grab the proverbial bull by the horns and get on with it. As Einstein said, “in the midst of every crisis, lies great opportunity”.
Your staff, clients and stakeholders need to hear from you, now more than ever. Even in business, there's comfort and reassurance in community, connectivity, and togetherness. Working remotely, staggered office visits and copious meetings via Zoom or Microsoft Teams are leaving most people feeling disconnected. Low motivation levels coupled with high levels of uncertainty during the current economic crisis are also causing added stress and anxiety. Now's your opportunity to make a big impact on your clients. Below, we share some ideas on how to make your mark.
Make an impression.
With most people at a standstill, and others in ostrich mentality, you have a great opportunity to stand out from your competitors and show your clients that you care. Sending personalised, bespoke, and carefully curated packages of snacks, cocktail, or gin kits, or some pamper items is a thoughtful way to say, ‘we’re thinking of you’. You could also send them an ‘experience’ like a UCOOK package or a voucher for a spa pamper session to use when they feel comfortable to do so.
Here I will customise a package for you which includes personalised stationery, sourcing all the items, arranging the packaging and delivery on your behalf.
Have virtual fun.
Host a virtual experience for your clients. Putting together a fun event for your clients could be just what they need to take them away from the doom and gloom of our current circumstances. Most of us are experiencing a bit of ‘zoom fatigue’ but as this is our current reality, you can make it fun, relaxing and take this opportunity to add some value to their lives. The idea is to stay ‘top of mind’ to your clients but also to show them that you care.
Teambuild with your client.
Now's also a good time to find out what your clients need from you. A great way to get everyone to unwind, build up a bit of rapport and get the communication channels open is to offer a team build. I'll create a wonderful, enriching virtual experience for yours, and your client’s teams, to have some fun, get to know one another on a different level, and create some string connections. So, when things go back to some form of normality, your working relationship will be in top shape.
